2026 - Week 7

Hello Beckton.

I hope you’re keeping warm and well. Before we start with the crimes that have occurred this week let take a moment to welcome to the all the new members to MetEngage. 

Once a week I will be updating you with what street crimes have been happening and where. I’ll also let you know of any exciting cases we’ve been dealing with.

Without any further ado please read on to find your latest crime happenings. 

Assault

14/02/26 – A fight between two males in Ferndale Street. No one wanted to talk to police about this altercation.

14/02/26 – Male assaulted by two unknown females. Male would not state how the altercation started.

15/02/26 – Outside KFC. Argument over children playing in/near the road

16/02/26 – Children assaulted and abused a bus driver 

19/02/26 - Male threw beer over another on a bus  

Burglary

16/02/2026 –Residential property in Mitchell Walk at 4am. 3 x Suspects have attempted next door too. We have followed some leads and identified two of the suspects we arrested one of them this morning.

17/02/26 - Residential Burglary in Wintergreen Close

Theft from Person

12/02/26 – 1pm. Cycle enable snatch of a phone at Beckton Bus Garage

16/02/26 – A Suspect wearing an orange Hi-Viz jacket in Sainsburys carpark told the victim that they are being fined for their driving and escorted him to a cash machine. Bank cards were stolen and the Man in the Hi-Viz has walked away.  

17/02/26 – Cycle enabled snatch of phone a Beckton Bus Garage

Theft of Vehicle

14/02/2026 - White Lexus at Premier Inn

17/02/2026 – White Lexus Albatross Close. Recovered in Plaistow via a tracker

17/02/2026 - Toyota Prius from Dakota Gdns. Recovered in Hackney via a tracker

We have attended the illegal Rave site in Whitings Road E6 with the owners of the warehouse. I am happy to report that is now closed with 24hr security on site. 

We were part of a Live Facial Recognition Operation outside Canning Town Station whereby two wanted burglars were apprehended. We also spent the last couple of days running down some leads on a Beckton Burglary. We caught our suspect this morning  and to add a cherry on top, he was also in possession of 80 wraps of cocaine and heroin.
